At Kiddylicious we are proud of our range, we take the finest ingredients and create delicious snacks for little ones. Wherever possible, our snacks only contain the sugar that is naturally present in the fruits and vegetables which they are made from. Our Kiddylicious Tiddlers and Wriggles, for example, do not contain any added sugar. In some cases it may be necessary for us to add a small amount of sugar to ensure products have the correct texture. In the products where we need to add sugar we keep the quantity to the absolute minimum where possible, and we choose to use sugar instead of sweeteners as our customers tell us they prefer food that does not include artificial additives. All of our products are sold in portion controlled packs and adhere to very strict baby regulations. We do recommend that little ones eat a varied and balanced diet that doesn't just focus on sugar content but on offering a wide range of healthy, tasty foods.
When we say that one packet of our product is “one portion” you can be assured that at least one child’s sized portion of fruit or vegetables have been used to make the contents of the bag. As an example, a 12g bag of Kiddylicious Strawberry Fruit Wriggles is made using 87g of fresh fruit. We take out the water to decrease the volume and increase the flavour and create a delicious soft snack. If you’re unsure about snack portion quantities there’s a very easy way to measure this; a portion is simply as much as your child can easily hold in their hand.
Every baby is an individual and grows and develops at its own rate. Recent reviews of the scientific evidence by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) suggest that it may be more appropriate that babies are weaned according to individual needs (but not before 17 weeks of age and weaning should have commenced by 6 months of age). We are aware the world Health Organisation & UK department of health recommends exclusive breastfeeding until 6 months of age, followed by the introduction of complementary foods. We recommend that any queries on weaning a baby should be directed to a health professional.

All our cardboard is recyclable. This includes the boxes which deliver our delicious snacks to the supermarkets. Our bags and wrappers are made up of lots of different materials to ensure our tasty snacks stay as fresh as possible for your little one. However, this makes it challenging when it comes to recycling the film (empty bag or wrapper). At Kiddylicious we are always working to improve our recycling opportunities, we work closely with our suppliers to find new ways of working. We understand that recycling can be confusing, therefore we are working on a project to add clear messaging on all our packs with On Pack Recycling Labelling. By the end of 2019 all our packaging will be clearly labelled with recycling logos. We are pleased to see the UK government is working with local councils nationwide to find a solution to plastic film recycling.
